Sandy Hook Fishing Reports

Captain George and crew had the Sinner out on the edge for an overnighter 9/14-15 and found the fish. They ended up trolling a really nice Wahoo on Friday and a few mahi before setting up for the night chunk which produced a pretty Sword and 3 Yellowfin. Although the ride home was sloppy to say the least they made it in safely and with plenty of meat in the box!

We had to head down the beach a bit to catch the bass on Sunday. We had one fish right away on the troll in the bay but didn't have a hit for the following 30-40 minutes. I got a call from my friend Jim that the bass were on top and the gannets were working hard and to get down there ASAP. So we pulled in the plugs and ran down towards the south to find gannets and bait all of the place just off the Highlands bridge. Although it took a bit o time we managed to catch 9 keepers  with our biggest almost 30 pounds!

We had a charter on Friday the 13th and it was all but unlucky!

We ended up trolling Stretch 25s again where we left the fish the week before and had non-stop action all morning with fish up to 26 pounds!!!!!!!!

We had Buck and his crew from Michigan out today for some light tackle trolling in Raritan Bay and the fishing doesn't get much better than this!!!! We trolled Mann Stretch 25s and had our first fish on within 2 minutes and it was none stop action for most of the trip boating over 30 fish up to 24 pounds with our average fish around 15 pounds with only a few shorts mixed in.

The Raritan and Sandy Hook bays are loaded with fish and the bait is really moving in every day I have a few dates available so give us a call and let's go fishing!!!!!!!

Had Gary and the "Peach" out for a photo shoot on Friday and really had good fishing trolling Stretch 25 plugs using the Terez rods to make for some real fun light tackle Sandy Hook Bay trolling along the channel edges in the upper part of the bay.

We ended up with over 25 fish fish and most were keepers our biggest went over 23#s and all were nice clean fish just coming into the bay from the ocean.

Looks like the season is shaping up quite nicely with plenty of fish and bait starting to move into the Raritan and Sandy Hook bays!
